On Thursday, 12/21/23, the Hornets traveled to Pinckney High School for a quad meet. They first wrestled the #8 team in Division 1, Temperance Bedford, and lost (65-12). To close out the night, NL walked away with a win against Pinckney (63-12).  The following wrestlers were 2-0 for the night: Dalton Birchmeier (157) and Colton Symons (190).

The Hornets traveled to North Branch on 12/20/23 where they competed in five duals. They defeated Byron (75-6), Marlette (60-18), Pinconning (60-18), and Sault Saint Marie (48-27). Their only loss was to Lapeer (48-28).  The following NL wrestlers went undefeated on Wednesday: Leo Bauman (126), Dalton Birchmeier (157), and Jack Kulhanek (165). 

On their annual trip to the Marquette Challenge at Marquette Senior High School, New Lothrop had 6 of their Hornets placed in the top 6 of their respective brackets.  As a team, they took 7th in team points with a total of 113.0 points.  The placing wrestlers are as follows: Blake Wendling (113) - 3rd place Hunter Wolf (120) - 6th place Max Brown (144) - 5th place Dalton Birchmeier (157) - 4th place Jack Kulhanek (165) - 3rd place Colton Symons (190) - 5th place Full tournament results are attached. 

Wednesday evening (12/13/23), the Hornets competed in a quad meet at North Branch High School. New Lothrop initially faced North Branch and defeated them 45-33. They then went onto wrestle Algonac and faced a tough loss against the #3 ranked team in Division 3 (57-13).  Wrestlers with a 2-0 record tonight: Hunter Wolf (113), Dalton Birchmeier (157), and Colton Symons (190).  Full dual results are attached. 

This past Saturday, December 10th, the New Lothrop Hornets traveled to Howell High School to compete in the Herm Wilkinson Highlander Classic. As a team, the Hornets placed 7th, accumulating 110.0 team points.  Individually, 5 out of 11 Varsity wrestlers found their place on the podium: Blake Wendling (113), Hunter Wolf (120), Dalton Birchmeier (157), Jack Kulhanek (165), and  Colton Symons (190).  Full tournament results are attached, including final placings of our Hornets.   

This Wednesday evening, the New Lothrop Hornets kicked off the 2023-2024 wrestling season by traveling to Lake Fenton High School to compete in a pair of duals. The Hornets initially wrestled Fenton High School where they battled hard but walked away with a 43-30 loss.   To close out the night, NL wrestled Lake Fenton and lost that dual 46-29.  Kyler Campbell (144 & 150) and Colton Symons (190 & 215) both went 2-0 for the night.
